Party Day and Pool Days

Last Thursday was Hannah's 'Party Day' at preschool. The months are just flying by and I can't believe that this is the last month of school already! Instead of hats the kids made flower 'masks' to try and trick us parents into thinking that they were flowers not kids :-)

The weather has been HOT lately and the girls have been spending so much time in the pool! They have had friends over almost every day for little pool parties. This year Victoria can touch the bottom of the pool so she gets to go in without a baby floaty (with supervision of course)... a very big deal to her! She is a little fish splashing and bobbing around.

Hannah has to repeat the 'Salmon' level in swimming because she needs to get her endurance up a bit. She needs to be able to do a front and back glide unassisted for 5 metres and she can do about 3 before she runs out of steam. She was very upset to not pass the level and she has been practicing every day out in the pool. Hopefully by September she will have enough stamina to pass the level since those were the only 2 things she did not complete.

Here are a few pictures of Hannah and Victoria with their buddies Rebecca and Natalie in the pool yesterday. They were in the pool at 10am and I made them get out at noon for lunch and both of the older girls told me I was mean because I asked them to leave the pool for lunch! Then the big girls went back out after lunch until almost 4pm! This pool is the best investment ever!

I am excited for my trip to Palm Springs! I leave Thursday to fly to San Diego and meet up with Christy and then we are heading to Palm Springs on Friday morning. Lots of fun in the sun for me!

Hannah has 3 birthday parties this weekend... Dave has his work cut out for him! Although I did already buy and wrap the gifts as well as write out the addresses and times of the parties. So he should be able to handle it :-)

When I get back I have to power get ready for Victoria's birthday party... can you believe she is turning 2 already?!?!?! She wants a helmet and a hot dog for her birthday... easy enough :-)
