OK, OK, I got the hint!

Some 'anonymous' commenter is complaining about the blog not being updated since last Wednesday. (By the way... I can start deleting the anonymous posts to force you to identify yourself if you want to leave comments!) Well this is why...

The flu has been making its way through our house. Last Monday Dave was sick with the flu. Then Wednesday Victoria came down with it. Thursday was my turn. Friday my Dad came over to watch the kids while I was sick and then Saturday he came down with the flu too! So far Hannah is the only one who has escaped this terrible bug and she doesn't know how lucky she is!

Dave and I seem to be on the mend now but poor little Victoria is still having a rough time. She has had very bad 'number 2's' for 6 days now. I took her to the Dr. yesterday and he has ordered some tests. She is having some 'samples' tested and she is currently not happy about the way these samples need to be collected. She has a special bag attached to her rear end right now collecting some specimens which is not too comfortable for her. When I finally get a sample I have to rush it back to the lab within one hour and then wait for the results which take up to 3 days. If the tests don't show what the problem is and she still isn't any better then she will be having some more tests done including blood work. We are hoping to avoid the needles if possible! Victoria is still in pretty happy spirits despite her very upset tummy... except when she is wearing the bag of course.

Despite being sick we have managed to get our Christmas tree up and decorated... I will take our annual pictures of the kids in front of the tree and post them soon :-) We also made it out to Chilliwack on Saturday night to take my Grandma for supper and watch the Santa parade. It was raining and we were all very wet by the end but the kids enjoyed watching the 67 floats go by before Santa arrived.
Hannah took these pictures above of 'GG' in the restaurant :-)

Sunday after church we took the kids to Potter's to have their pictures taken with Santa. We had to stand in line for an hour! Hannah was so excited and she was talking Santa's ear off... she has asked for a Cinderella Tea Party Set. Victoria was excited in the line up and she kept saying 'Santa!' and 'Cheese!' the whole time... but when it was her turn to sit on Santa's lap... she cried her eyes out. I have to go back on Wednesday to pick up the lovely pictures of an happy, smiling Hannah and a terrified, traumatized Victoria. I was expecting Victoria to cry so I wasn't to upset about it :-)

So that brings us up to date... hopefully in the next blog I can tell you that Victoria is all better and that she has kicked whatever bug she's got!
*7 PM UPDATE*
Victoria blew the bag right off her butt... let's just say it was so disgusting that it made me sick. Poor kid.

OMGosh - Poor Victoria! When she gets married - be sure to bring up the story of the plastic bag taped to her bum! That is so funny!!!

Poor kid.

If Victoria's not feeling better by the 18th, then ummm....yeah, I'm gonna be busy that day!!! ha ha, JK :-) I'm sure she'll be better by then *crosses fingers*

Christy - I totally wanted to take a picture of her bag attached to her bum and post it... but then I thought it might be a little much for the faint at heart.

Kara - I am sure that she will be fine by the 18th... if not I will let you off the hook since you have a poop phobia like my brother. You guys are doomed if you ever have kids... or pets!

Tammy - you don't have to post it - just email it!!!

...that didn't stop you with Dr Natura!

ha ha, me too. I also don't have a poop phobia! I just don't like poopy diapers being whipped at me or put in my jacket hood!! :-)

So tell me... was the flying butt poo bag worse than Hannah's shot of poo into the mini blinds when Dave was in Japan????

Poor Victoria :(

Yes, this was definitely worse than Hannah's mini blind incident. I am still recovering from this evenings events.

Kara... you mean you don't like it when Dave puts diapers in your jacket hood?? I will have to let him know :-)

Yeah, now I'm gonna have to wear jackets that don't have hoods whenever I come over :-( There's nothing like a stinky, heavy, warm diaper right behind your head!
