Hannah's Shrek-tacular 3rd Birthday Party!

Hannah has been to lots and lots of birthday parties lately and at long last today was finally her turn! We had planned to have a Shrek 'Swamp' Party but unfortunately today it rained and the kids couldn't swim in the swamp (our pool):-( Hannah was very disappointed that it rained the day of her party but we made the best of it and celebrated inside the house. The rain did stop for a bit and the kids were able to play outside for a little while. I told Hannah that she could invite some of her friends over next week when the weather is warm again for a pool play date.... it will be her birthday party part 2 :-)

The kids played pin the tail on 'Donkey' and then we went out to our carport and all the big kids took turns whacking the Shrek pinata. That pinata was super durable! Eventually Dave had to take a few cracks at it or we could have been there all day! Shrek ended up decapitated and the kids all raced around collecting as many packages of Shrek fruit snacks as they could find scattered all around :-)

Tanya made Hannah's birthday cake... it had Hannah's picture holding her Shrek doll on it with edible icing. She decorated it with dirt (cookie crumbs) and worms (gummy ones)... the cake looked awesome! Thanks so much Tanya!!

Hannah enjoyed opening all of her gifts... so many of them! She was very spoiled! A big thank you to everyone for all of the lovely gifts... now I have the big task of finding a place to put everything :-)

Hannah had a great time :-) She was pretty exhausted at bed time from all the excitement! I hope that everyone that came had a great time too :-)
